Richmond v Cornish Pirates Saturday 8th April KO 3pm
This Saturday it is the FIRST XV’s last home game of the season so definitely not one to be missed. Please do come and support the lads who have stepped up to the mark so magnificently in the Championship and once again provided us all with such exciting rugby.

Lunch is a sell out so please note that timings will be slightly earlier than usual - 12.15pm for 12.45pm with pre-lunch drinks in the Sports Bar

Our Match Sponsor this Saturday is the club’s long-time Club Partner, Feltons. Feltons are Chartered Accountants based on Richmond Green, they have provided an invaluable financial service to the club and many club members over the years and we thank Richard Rhodes and his team for their continued support and look forward to welcoming them here on Saturday. To find out more about Feltons, visit their website at http://www.fpca.co.uk/richmond_rugby

We have two Match Ball Sponsors this week in Talbot Validus and the Richmond Heavies Simpsons Luncheon Club. Talbot Validus have been a Club Partner of ours for many years, they work in specialist sectors of the Lloyds insurance market and we would like to extend a warm thanks to one of our former players, Rupert Allhusen, and all his colleagues for their long-term support. For more information about Talbot visit https://www.validusholdings.com/about-us/our-companies-homepage/talbot/
The Richmond Heavies Simpsons Luncheon Club is a long-running institution, made up of former players and Heavies, and ably led by Robert Vallings. We thank all of them for their support over many years, and there is no doubt that they will enjoy their day and are sure to add a certain degree of liveliness to the lunch!

We also have a Grandstand Sponsor this week in Sterling Solutions, the company that produces and prints our superlative programme and we thank them for all their help over the season and look forward to welcoming Steve Palmer and his guests on Saturday. To find out more about their work and whether they can help you, please go to http://www.sterlingsolutions.co.uk/

The VIKINGS play Blackheath II at home KO 1.30pm whilst the SAXONS are resting.
I am delighted to report that the NORMANS won their semi-final last week and whilst resting this week, will play the final of the Zoo League Div 3 on Saturday 22nd April – another date to support please as again a Richmond team has more than delivered.
The JUTES have finished their season as indeed have the HEAVIES

Car washing
Our intrepid band of car washers from the Womens section are back raising money for their summer tour. They will be washing cars at the ground on Saturday before the match and would very much welcome your custom I am sure.

Sunday 9th April games
The WOMEN have also finished their season and are now in the process of preparing for the new Womens Super Rugby competition next season – it will be a busy summer!
On Sunday the MINIS are once again off to various festivals, or in Easter holiday mode, so if in doubt as to where you should be please check with your age group manager
YOUTH matches – the Under 18 are at home to Camberley KO 12pm and it is an historic moment as this is the last match in their Mini and Youth journey. We thank Ian Grundy and all his fellow coaches, managers, parents and of course boys who have been part of that journey, many of them from Under 6 upwards. We look forward to watching their continued progress through Under 21 and the senior men’s teams
And talking of the UNDER 21 they too have an important game on Sunday – the Surrey Cup Semi-Final against Cobham KO 2.30pm and all support would be very much appreciated

Jersey v Richmond EASTER Saturday 15th April KO 3pm

The team will of course be in attendance and if you have not already done so would all those going to Jersey please indicate if they would like to join us – and I would stress that includes everyone - supporters, family, girlfriends, friends etc etc

Non Playing Dates for the Diary

Club AGM Tues 13th June 7pm

Mini Fixture Secretary URGENTLY needed
We are still in urgent need of a replacement Mini Fixture Secretary as Lisa Stone has recently stepped down after 4 years valiant service.
The main task is to co-ordinate fixtures and festivals for the Minis, both those that we attend and those that we host and I know Lisa has found it great fun and enjoyed her time enormously. It is certainly the way to get involved with the section and to get to know the parents across the age groups - and if it feels a tad daunting why not think about a job share with another mini parent to spread the load?
if you are interested then please contact either myself or Lisa (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. 07971 631093) so we can talk you through what is involved and the amount of time it takes up etc.
Don’t be shy - get in touch with one of us today!!

Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers
A reminder that the annual Sainsbury’s Active Kids promotion runs until 2nd May  - so if you shop at Sainsbury’s either in store or on line, or buy petrol at their garages, then please do pick up the vouchers and let us have them. There is a collection box in the shop or you can send them to the club at the address below.
They can be exchanged for balls and other rugby equipment for our minis and youth sections and have proved an extremely valuable contribution to resources in the past.

Travel disruption this Saturday
A heads up that traffic is likely to be disrupted in the area on Saturday as there is the Bath v Leicester Tigers game at Twickenham KO 2pm – and Saracens play Quins at Wembley KO 4.30pm
