Where did that season go?! Suddenly this weekend sees the last games being played, which is extraordinary as it only seems yesterday that it all began.
The FIRST XV completed their season last Saturday in Jersey where I understand the occasion was suitably celebrated - and celebrations will no doubt continue as many of them depart on the Texas tour tomorrow. We wish all those going a great time, a well-deserved reward for all their hard work and commitment this season and the pleasure they have given their supporters whichever team they have played for.

The VIKINGS played their last game yesterday evening against the Navy and there is another floodlit game tomorrow, Friday as the NORMANS are through to the Zoo League Division 3 Final and will face Rosslyn Park Hatters at their ground KO 7.45pm

Saturday 22nd April games
The SAXONS are also currently at the top of their league and will play their final league match on Saturday against Wimbledon II at home KO 3pm to hopefully secure the title.
The HEAVIES play their last game on Saturday at home against old rivals Barnes KO 2.30pm

Sunday 23rd April
The MINIS have their final session on Sunday although some age groups may have already finished so if in doubt as to where you should be then please check with your age group manager
YOUTH games: U12A/B/C Surrey Cup Finals/3 v 4 Play offs away at Reigate, U13A Surrey Cup 3 v 4 Play offs away at Weybridge

Shop opening hours
As there is no First XV game the shop will not be open on Saturday - and will open for the final time this season on Sunday from 9am until 12.30pm

Club Awards Dinner Friday 5th May KO 7.30pm Members Bar
A reminder that the Club Awards Dinner is only 2 weeks away on Friday 5th May at the club KO 7.30pm for 8pm.
It is always a very popular and lively event and provides an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the whole club, with awards being made during the dinner to players from every section, men and women, from the U7s to the oldest Heavy, as well as recognising the coaches, managers and medical team that help keep the players on the field and the supporters/parents that inspire and cheer them on in all weathers.
The cost is £24/students & Under 21, £31.50/players, coaches, managers, physios and £38.50/others - and includes a 3 course meal in the Members Bar. It is open to all (age over 18 years) – wives, girlfriends, partners etc – and dress code is No 1s for players or smart casual.
Bookings are now open so call me on 0202 8332 7112 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
NB Those senior men players/support staff who are imminently due to depart on the Texas tour please book in before you go as when you get back will be cutting it fine!!

Club AGM Tuesday 13th June KO 7pm Members Bar
The final event of the 2016/17 season will be the Club AGM which will take place on Tuesday 13th June in the members Bar KO 7pm and the relevant Calling Notice will be sent out next month.
Please note that nominations for the position of President/Club Director need to be advised to me (Jen Gadsby Peet) by close of play Sunday 30th April

Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers
Please remember that the annual Sainsbury’s Active Kids promotion runs until 2nd May - so if you shop at Sainsbury’s either in store or on line, or buy petrol at their garages, then please do pick up the vouchers and let us have them. There is a collection box in the shop or you can send them to the club at the address below.
They can be exchanged for balls and other rugby equipment for our minis and youth sections and have proved an extremely valuable contribution to resources in the past.
