Richmond v Rotherham Titans  (B & I Cup)  Saturday 21st October KO 3pm
Women 1st XV v Saracens Saturday 21st October KO 5.15pm
This Saturday 21st October sees our third double header of the season when the MEN FIRST XV take on Rotherham Titans once more, albeit in the B & I Cup this time, KO 3pm - followed by the WOMEN 1ST XV who play old rivals Saracens, always a feisty encounter, in the new Tyrrells Premier 15 competition KO 5.15pm.
These double headers are proving extremely popular as apart from show casing the superb rugby being played by our men and women they are giving a whole buzz to a match day which is proving extremely enjoyable for all. So come and be part of it and get behind our boys and girls as it gives them a massive boost to hear that Richmond chant.
There is the usual pre-match lunch for which there are still places available although I do need to know by return please if you wish to book in - usual cost of £30 /head to include a match programme but not match entrance to the men’s game. Entrance to the women’s game is free.
And whilst on the subject of our women it is an opportune moment to congratulate our Women 1st XV Captain, Rowe Burnfield who took part in last weekend’s England training camp ahead of next month’s Old Mutual Wealth Series games.
And also to pass on our best wishes to Women 1st XV player, Kay Wilson who has announced her retirement from international rugby which will hopefully mean we see more of her here at the Athletic Ground.

Saturday games
Another full house at the ground on Saturday as all the men’s teams are at home; VIKINGS v Blackheath II KO 1.30pm, SAXONS v Old Eltahmians II also KO 1.30pm and NORMANS v Hammersmith & Fulham II KO 2pm.
The JUTES and HEAVIES are resting.

Sunday 22nd October
The MINIS and YOUTH are training normal times and the U16 play Old Alleynians KO 12pm.
MINIS please note that with effect from Sunday those younger age groups that have been using pitch 3 now swop with London Scottish to pitch 4 (the one nearest the entrance) for the remainder of the season.

Club Forum Meeting – Vikings v Cambridge University Wednesday 25th October
The first club FORUM MEETING of the season takes place next Wednesday 25th October in the Sports Bar KO 6.30pm.
It is open to all club members and please advise if you will be attending as well as any items for the agenda by close of play Monday 23rd October.
The meeting will be followed by the VIKINGS game against Cambridge University KO on the main pitch at 7.30pm - always a good opportunity to see the strength and depth of our First XV squad.

Nottingham v Richmond Friday 27th October KO 7.45
The FIRST XV are away to Nottingham next weekend but the game will take place on Friday evening 27th October KO 7.45.
The team are travelling by train to Nottingham but returning by coach due to travel logistics too complicated to go into.

Rest weekend – 4th/5th November
The following weekend, 4th/5th November is a well-deserved rest weekend for the FIRST XV

Richmond v Doncaster Knights Friday 10th November KO 7.45pm
The Autumn Internationals start at Twickenham on 11th November when England take on Argentina. For that reason our FIRST XV game against Doncaster Knights will take place on the Friday evening 10th November KO 7.45pm, a time we have found to be popular amongst supporters as it kick starts a rugbyfest weekend.
We are once again holding a curry and cheese supper before the game from 6.30pm - cost £20/head to include a match programme but not match entrance and if you wish to book in then please come back to me sooner rather than later as it is proving to be a popular one.

Richmond Women 1st XV v Harlequins Saturday 11th November KO 2.30pm
This is definitely a date that needs to be put in the diary as the WOMEN 1ST XV take on Harlequins at home KO 2.30pm. For obvious reasons the whole club needs to be there in support of our girls so please make a note and come down in good vocal voice.

Richmond Rugby October Half Term Camps  - 23rd/24th and 26th/27th October
A final call for the October half-term camps which will be running next week as follows;
On Monday and Tuesday 23rd/24th October we have two one day clinics for the youth age groups (Under 12s - Under 18s) - a Kicking Clinic on the Monday and an Attack and Defence Clinic on the Tuesday - followed by a two day Skills camp for the mini and youth age groups (Under 6s – Under 15s) on Thursday and Friday 26th/27th October.
The camps will once again be run by our Head of Community, Dominic Palacio, with all coaches RFU Level 2 qualified with current DBS certificates and there will also be a dedicated first aid trained coach in attendance at all times.
The cost is £100 for all 4 days, £50 for any 2 days and £30 for one day and timings are 9.30am to 3.30pm. A packed lunch and drinks are required as well as a gum shield if appropriate for your child’s age group, plus suitable clothing if it is wet and sun cream if by chance the sun shines!
The camp is open to all boys and girls, not just Richmond members, so why not get a group of friends together and book in.
