Job Description 
Women’s Team Manager, under supervision of the Women’s Head Coach, would be responsible for the following in relation to Richmond’s senior women’s fixtures and players (NB: this is not an exhaustive list. As the season develops and subject to the candidate’s availability some areas of responsibility may be absorbed by other personnel):

• Referee liaison to confirm match day arrangements.
• Liaison with numerous internal personnel as well as the Opposition for confirmation of match day arrangements such as medical, kick off and travel. 
• Submission of teams to RFU via Electronic Match Card by specified deadline. 
• Supply team sheets to relevant personnel on match day and liaise with opposition and referee to confirm any team changes.
• Submission of Electronic Match Card post game including liaison with opposition and referee for approval.
• Responsible for ensuring required kit and equipment is available on match day, including testing of match officials comms in advance.
• Responsible for setting up the kit and equipment on match day in the Changing Room, Technical Area and Warm Up Area as well as returning it to the bus/kit shed.
• Responsible for meeting and greeting opposition, match officials, videographer at home matches.
• Assist press officer and commercial director with player appearances, interviews and photo shoots as required.
• Assist Operations Manager and Women’s Clinical Lead with the Medical Audit, if required.
• To act as 4th Official at 1st XV matches and manage the technical area.
• Responsible for assisting injured players post-match with return travel provision and anything else they may require.
• Assist Operations Manager and Women’s Head Coach in arranging player education such as Online Concussion Module, Integrity and Anti-Doping presentations.
• Assist Women’s Clinical Lead with logistical requirements for pre-season player medicals and other administration as and when required.
• Manage player database and assist with player communications as required.
• Assist Women’s Head Coach with registration, contracts and EQP processes as required
• Provide logistical support to coaching, medical, nutrition and S&C.
• Assist the Women’s Head Coach in ensuring the Women’s Sections meet all necessary RFU and World Rugby regulations and requirements.

 

Essential requirements

• Experience of working with a sports team.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Calm under pressure.
• Previous work in an administrative and operational role.
• Available to attend all/majority of women’s 1st XV fixtures.
• Some flexibility, as women’s premier competition constraints are not yet finalised.

 

Desirable requirements

• Previous work within rugby union.
• Previous work as a sports team manager.
• Up to date RFU Emergency First Aid certificate. Training can be provided
• Completion of RFU Online Concussion Module. Training can be provided
• Completion of UKAD Advisors course. Training can be provided
