Richmond v Doncaster Knights Friday 10th November KO 7.45pm
This Saturday the Autumn Internationals start at Twickenham when England play Argentina. For that reason our FIRST XV game against Doncaster Knights is taking place tomorrow evening (Friday 10th November) KO 7.45pm. It is a great way to start a weekend of rugby so please do come along and join the party – the lads hugely appreciate your support and it makes a massive difference to them to hear the Richmond chant swelling from the stands.
The bar and canteen will of course be open and we are holding a curry and cheese supper before the game from 6.30pm - cost £20/head to include a match programme but not match entrance. There are still places available but if you wish to book in then you do need to let me know by return please.

Our Match Sponsor this week is MS Amlin, one of the leading independent insurers operating in the Lloyds, UK Continental Europe and Bermudian markets. They have been one of our longest-standing club partners, dating back to the start of the millennium, and we are extremely grateful for their continued support which is very much appreciated. We look forward to welcoming Simon Jefferys and his guests to the game tomorrow evening. Please visit www.msamlin.com for more information about their services in the insurance sector.

This week we also have two Match Ball Sponsors in Profinda and Rhino Rugby, both of whom are club partners whose support we are immensely grateful for, so a special thanks to Seb Haire and Reg Clark respectively. ProFinda unlocks the power of an organisation’s most important asset, the people. Using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, ProFinda creates a dynamic digital view of a workforce, intelligently organising, connecting and matching people to people around work. Women 1st XV Team Manager role
We are looking for a Team Manager to assist in the administration of our women’s First XV. It is an exciting opportunity to get involved in one of the new Tyrell Premier 15 clubs so if you are interested or know anyone you think maybe then please do get in touch. Click here for further details

Hugh Cave
Members will be sad to hear that Hugh Cave died on 31 October. He had been ill for some time, but spent the last couple of weeks at home with his family before passing away at St Joseph’s Hospice. Hugh played for Richmond teams in the 60’s and 70’s before moving to Singapore for a number of years, and whilst there he was instrumental in arranging Richmond’s extraordinary tour to the Far East in 1978.
Hugh’s wife Flicka is arranging a service of celebration of Hugh’s life on 29 November at 1130 am at St Lawrence Jewry Church, Guildhall, Gresham Street in the City, followed by a Wake at The Ned, 27 Poultry. To estimate numbers for catering purposes it would be helpful if those intending to attend could let Steve James know (phone 07768145749 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. Douglas John Brooks deceased
We are trying to find out about how Douglas was involved with Richmond as he has very kindly made a bequest to the club in his will. So if anyone has any information then please do let us know.
