As club partners since 2014, Richmond Rugby are very pleased to announce that The Victoria Foundation & New Victoria Hospital have recently agreed to extend their partnership with Richmond for a further two years.

The Victoria Foundation is a registered charity based in Richmond transforming lives in the local and wider community. It supports children and young people who suffer from diseases that affect their mobility where financial constraints do not allow the private purchase of mobility aids. In addition, it funds accessible transport to help residents of the London Boroughs of Richmond and Kingston suffering from any medical condition that renders conventional transport either inaccessible or inappropriate. The charity also supports future generations of NHS doctors by providing grants to medical students from disadvantaged backgrounds during their studies.

New Victoria Hospital is a private, charitable hospital based in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. It is one of the few remaining independent hospitals in the country and has provided a high level of service to the local community for the past 60 years. The hospital has also formed close ties with The Richmond Heavies Foundation in providing heart screening for Richmond players, coaches and managers.

John Hamblin, Chairman of the Victoria Foundation and the Hospital said: “I am absolutely delighted to be continuing our support for Richmond Rugby; our Hospital has served our community and strived to achieve excellence in health care for many years. Moreover both our CEO Graham Ball and I are proud that The Foundation has supported the less fortunate in our society for over ten years. Together with Richmond Rugby we share the common thread of local community-based service in its broader sense. We wish Richmond every success for the coming season with their return to Championship rugby.”
