Richmond v Coventry Saturday 6th October KO 3pm
This Saturday, 6th October the FIRST XV are once more at home to play Coventry KO 3pm.
This game was of course originally scheduled for Friday evening 5th October KO 7.45pm but has moved day because Sky are now televising the London Scottish v London Irish game which was to be played on the Saturday but has now moved to this Sunday 7th KO 3pm, thus releasing Saturday for Richmond to play.
Hopefully that makes some sort of sense and we hope to see you down here as Coventry are travelling in force and we need to make sure the Richmond chant echoes round the ground as it really inspires our players.
There are still places available at the pre-match lunch but if you wish to attend then I need to know by return please – usual cost of £30/head to include a match programme but not match entrance.
Our Match Sponsor this Saturday is Rhino. Rhino is the world’s leading supplier of contact and training equipment for rugby and is an Official Supplier of the British & Irish Lions, England, Wales, France and South Africa amongst others. The company also operates in the teamwear, leisurewear and artificial turf markets.  Special thanks to Reg Clark for his continued support of the club. Saturday games
On Saturday the VIKINGS are resting whilst the SAXONS play Old Elthamians II at home KO 2pm, the NORMANS are away to Bury St Edmunds II KO 2.30pm, the JUTES take on London Irish Nomads at home KO 2.30pm and the HEAVIES make their season’s debut at home to Esher Expendables KO 2.30pm.
The WOMEN DEVELOPMENT XV are off to play Loughborough KO 12.30pm.

Sunday 7th October
On Sunday the MINIS are holding their Autumn Mini Festival and over 1000 players will be taking part. A magnificent achievement and a testament to all the hard work of the festival organisers for which many thanks.
The festival will take place on the 3 back pitches at the ground as well as the 3 pitches in Old Deer Park and if you are uncertain where you should be then please contact your age group manager.
The logistics of the day will be a challenge and we would ask for your patience and tolerance particularly as London Scottish play London Irish in the afternoon KO 3pm – which is to be televised by Sky meaning their huge lorries etc will be on site to add to the general mayhem!
There will therefore be no parking at the ground for the festival unless you have been issued with a permit and a steward will be on the gate from 8am to monitor this. There is alternative parking over the A316 in the NCP.
All the YOUTH age groups are away as a result and have been advised by separate email of their alternative arrangements.

Shop hours this weekend
The shop will be open on Saturday from 12.30pm until 3pm and then for half an hour after the match finishes.
On Sunday I am open all day because of the London Scottish game;
9am until 12pm
Closed 12pm – 1pm (so I can have some lunch!)
Reopen 1pm – 5pm

Ealing v Richmond Saturday 13th October KO 3pm
Richmond v Nottingham Saturday 20th October KO 3pm
Next Saturday 13th October the FIRST XV are away to Ealing KO 3pm returning home on Saturday 20th October to play Nottingham KO 3pm  -  the pre match lunch bookings are now open, usual cost of £30/head to include a match programme but not match entrance.

Richmond Rugby October Half Term Camp - Wed 24th & Thurs 25th October
Following the success of our pre-season camp in August I am delighted to announce that we will be running our usual October half-term camp for 5 – 15 year olds at the club on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th October.
The camp will be run by our Head of Community, Dominic Palacio, and each day will be full of fun packed activities aimed to improve running, passing and kicking skills.
All coaches are RFU Level 2 qualified and hold current DBS certificates and there will be a dedicated first aid trained coach in attendance at all times.
The cost is £65 for the two days or £35 for one day, and timings are 9 am to 3pm. A packed lunch and drinks are required as well as a gum shield if appropriate for your child’s age group, plus suitable clothing if it is wet and a little chilly.
The camp is open to all boys and girls, not just Richmond members, so why not get a group of friends together and book in - a great way to use up all that half term energy!

The survey should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete and all responses will be entered into a prize draw to win one of five pairs of tickets to Barbarians vs Argentina at Twickenham Stadium on 1st December.
The survey closes on 6th November.
