Ealing v Richmond Saturday 13th October KO 3pm
This Saturday 13th October the FIRST XV are away to Ealing KO 3pm and would certainly appreciate all support – Ealing is really only down the road so please do make the journey if possible as it does raise the team to hear the Richmond chant behind them.

Darlington Mowden Park v Women 1st XV Saturday 13th October KO 5pm
Darlington Mowden Park v Women Development XV Saturday 13th October KO 3pm
Both women’s teams make the long journey north to Darlington to play in different venues at different times, a logistical challenge if ever there was one – but our girls will of course be up for it and we wish them all good luck.

Saturday games
On Saturday the VIKINGS are at home to Cinderford II KO 2.30pm, the SAXONS play Wimbledon II away KO 2.30pm, the NORMANS entertain Ealing Amateur II at home KO 3pm and the JUTES play London Irish at home KO 2.30pm.
The HEAVIES are resting.

Sunday 14th October
On Sunday the London Scottish Mini Festival takes place at the ground and therefore all our MINIS are in different venues - if you are uncertain where you should be then please contact your age group manager.
All the YOUTH age groups are also away as a result and have been advised by separate email of their alternative arrangements.

Shop hours this weekend
As there are no First XV games at the club on Saturday the shop will NOT be open.
On Sunday it will be open for slightly shorter hours than usual - 9am until 12pm

Richmond v Nottingham Saturday 20th October KO 3pm
Richmond v Ealing Saturday 17th November KO 1pm (Cup)
Next Saturday 20th October the FIRST XV return home to play Nottingham KO 3pm  -  the pre match lunch bookings are now open, usual cost of £30/head to include a match programme but not match entrance.
And on the subject of lunch please note that the following home game is the Cup game against Ealing on Saturday 17th November with an earlier KO of 1pm to accommodate the England v Japan game at Twickenham KO 3pm.
There will therefore be a brunch served that day from 11.30am which has proved very popular in the past so please do book in as soon as possible – cost £20 to include a match programme but not match entrance.

Richmond Rugby October Half Term Camp - Wed 24th & Thurs 25th October
With half term almost upon us as reminder that we will be running our usual October half-term camp for 5 – 15 year olds at the club on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th October.
The camp will be run by our Head of Community, Dominic Palacio, and each day will be full of fun packed activities aimed to improve running, passing and kicking skills.
All coaches are RFU Level 2 qualified and hold current DBS certificates and there will be a dedicated first aid trained coach in attendance at all times.
The cost is £65 for the two days or £35 for one day, and timings are 9 am to 3pm. A packed lunch and drinks are required as well as a gum shield if appropriate for your child’s age group, plus suitable clothing if it is wet and a little chilly.
The camp is open to all boys and girls, not just Richmond members, so why not get a group of friends together and book in - a great way to use up all that half term energy!

Club Forum Meeting – Vikings v Cambridge University Wednesday 24th October
The first club FORUM MEETING of the season takes place on Wednesday 24th October in the Sports Bar KO 6.30pm.
It is open to all club members and please advise if you will be attending as well as any items for the agenda by close of play Monday 22nd October.
The meeting will be followed by the VIKINGS game against Cambridge University KO on the main pitch at 7.30pm - always a good opportunity to see the strength and depth of our First XV squad.

Jonathan Mervis
It is with great sadness that I have to advise of the sudden death of Jonathan Mervis on 3rd October.
Jonathan was a much valued and enthusiastic supporter of the club both financially and in terms of business acumen and was of course the father of Paul Mervis whose tragic death in Afghanistan is remembered each year at our Annual Awards dinner through the awarding of the Paul Mervis trophy. This will serve to remember two Richmond men going forward and our deepest sympathy goes to Jonathan’s widow, Margaret and all his family.
His funeral is to take place tomorrow, Friday 12th October at Putney Vale Crematorium SW15 3DZ at 1.30pm followed by a wake at The Observatory, London Wetland Centre SW13 9WT and is open to all. A Memorial Service will be held later in the year.
