RICHMOND AIM FOR THREE IN A ROW

After two come-from-behind wins on the bounce, Richmond host Worcester Valkyries on Sunday looking for three in a row. The visitors were Richmond’s only scalp of the campaign so far prior to their back to back successes, so this presents the first chance of a double this season.

Worcester have been on the end of some heavy defeats this campaign, but a one point defeat two rounds ago shows that things are improving for the new-look side, and they will be eager to pick up their first Premier 15s win.

Richmond head coach Jonathan Griffin has had to compete with a few injury issues this week, with influential hooker Alice Soper out for an extended period of time, joining a number of front-line names on the injury list. That means a reshuffle in the pack, with Hannah Luff coming in for her first start at hooker, while Alex Zdunek steps in at prop.

In the back row, the dangerous trio of Libby Povey, Anna Caplice and Cerys Lawrence retain their spots, while Row Burnfield and Sian Hobday again add strength and tenacity in the second row.

The backs, meanwhile, see a reshuffle of their own, with Courtney Treco coming in at fly half outside Bryony Pomfret at nine. Oli Davies moves to 15, with Welsh international Alicia McComish on one wing and Emelie Hellgren - who has three tries in the last two games - on the other. Jade Wong and captain Vicki Jackson line up in the centres to complete a strong and exciting team.
