Richmond v RAMS Saturday 5th October KO 3pm/ Women 1st XV v Worcester KO 5pm
The first Double Header of the season takes place this Saturday 5th October with the FIRST XV taking on RAMS at 3pm and the WOMEN FIRST XV facing Worcester straight afterwards at 5pm.
Entrance to the women’s match is included in match entrance for the men’s game - so please do come down and support our boys and girls as it is a huge boost to them to hear the Richmond chant coming from the stands.
CLICK HERE to buy your match tickets.

There are still places available at the pre-match lunch beforehand but I need to know by return if you wish to book in please. As already advised the format of the pre match lunches is slightly different this season to keep costs down and make administration easier. The cost is £40/head and includes a 2 course meal (main course and cheeseboard), a match ticket and a match programme. For those that are season ticket holders the cost is £30/head for a 2 course meal plus a match programme. As previously payment is taken on the day (cash and cheques only please) and match tickets will be distributed at the lunch.

Other Saturday games
The VIKINGS face RAMS II at home KO 1.30pm whilst the SAXONS take on Ampthill II also at home KO 2.45pm. The WOMEN DEVELOPMENT XV are at home to Worcester Development KO 3pm. The JUTES are away to Horsham KO 3pm.

Sunday 6th October
The MINIS are holding their Autumn Festival on Sunday and will be entertaining 700 plus kids – so it will be very busy at the club and parking is restricted to permit holders only. Travel by public transport is therefore highly recommended but if that is not possible then parking is available in the NCP car park the other side of the A316.
The YOUTH age groups are mostly away but if in doubt as to where you should be please check with your age group manager.

Recycling Bins & Cashless Sports Bar
At the weekend you will notice that there are now a number of red recycling bins positioned around the ground alongside the black ones for general waste. Please be sure to use these red bins for any empty plastic pint glasses, or better still please take your pint glasses back to the bar and ask the bar staff to re-use them for any refills.

From this weekend onwards, we are also changing the Sports Bar to a ‘card only / cashless’ bar, so please ensure you are suitably armed with bank cards when buying drinks in the Sports Bar. You will still be able to buy drinks with cash in the Members Bar.

Bishop’s Stortford v Richmond Saturday 12th October KO 3pm
Next Saturday the FIRST XV are away to Bishop’s Stortford KO 3pm. The team will be travelling by coach and details to follow.
In the meantime Bishop’s Stortford have advised that if there is anyone from Richmond who wishes to take a table (usually 10 to 12 people), please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ASAP. Lunch is three courses at £30 per head and this includes the match day programme and entrance to the game (which is ordinarily £15 for non-members). Payment for a table is required in advance and bank details will be given on booking.

OPRO mouthguards
For those that ordered mouth guards when OPRO visited on the 15th September I would advise you that these have now been delivered to the club and are available for collection from the shop.

Half Term Kids Camp Tuesday 29th – Thursday 31st October
With half term at the end of the month please note that we will be holding a three day Half Term Holiday camp on Tuesday 29th/Wednesday 30th and Thursday 31st October for the mini and youth age groups (Under 5s – Under 15s).
The camp will be run by our Head of Community, Dom Palacio, and his team of enthusiastic coaches and each day will be full of fun packed activities aimed to improve core skills and team work.
All coaches have a wealth of both playing and coaching experience and are all RFU Level 2 qualified. They all hold current advanced DBS clearance and there will be a dedicated first aid trained coach in attendance at all times.
The cost is £90 for three days, £65 for the two days or £35 for one day, and timings are 9am to 3pm. A packed lunch and drinks are required as well as a gum shield if appropriate for your child’s age group, plus suitable clothing if it is wet and cold.
The camp is open to all boys and girls, not just Richmond members and for more information and to book a place please click here

National Rugby Survey – Your Views Matter
It is a win-win situation. The RFU are encouraging clubs to ask their members and players to complete the National Rugby Survey so that England Rugby can best meet the needs of the entire game and at the same time grab the chance to win either one of five £100 England Rugby Store vouchers, or one of five pairs of tickets to an England Men’s game at Twickenham in 2020.
The views of everyone in rugby: rugby fans, age grade and adult players, match officials, club and CB officials matter and your experience of the game will be invaluable in the biggest community rugby survey of its kind. Click here to take part
