Richmond Name Squad To Face Cinderford Away

Toby Saysell will make his 50th First XV appearance as Richmond travel to Dockham Road to face Cinderford (KO 2pm).

The powerful flanker, who returns to the side after missing last Saturday's victory over Bishop's Stortford, will become the third player to achieve 50 First XV caps this season, joining fellow back-rowers Jake Parker and Jesse Liston.

Ahead of his 50th cap, Toby said: "It's an amazing feeling to reach 50 first-team appearances for Richmond. It's been an absolute honour to play for such a proud club and I'm looking forward to making the trip to Cinderford tomorrow, competing hard with the boys and getting the job done."

Holding a three point lead at the top of the National League 1 table, Richmond will make the trip to Cinderford determined to maintain their seven match unbeaten run and hit back strongly against a side who snatched a hard-fought 19-14 victory over Steve Hill's men in October.

The Richmond forward pack features three changes to the side that beat Stortford last week, with club favourite Timmy Walford returning to the front-row, making his first appearance for the First XV since October. Elsewhere, Tom Pashley replaces Jesse Liston who shifts to the bench, while Saysell returns in place of the unavailable Andrew Boyce.

In the backs, experienced scrum-half Jamie Gibbs returns to the starting team to make his 136th first-team appearance. While versatile back Morgan Ward has been selected on the right wing and will combine strongly with an otherwise unchanged back-line.

On the bench, there's further opportunity for hooker Callum Torpey, experienced prop Ken Dowding and hard-working flanker Jesse Liston to make powerful impacts, while former captain Will Warden adds significant firepower. There's also a return for scrum-half Toby Dabell who has been rewarded for his impressive form for the Vikings.
