Ready 4 Rugby Festival & Social Afternoon: This Saturday 5th September

Join us at the Athletic Ground this Saturday 5th September for Richmond's Ready 4 Rugby Festival and Social Afternoon! 

From 12pm-2pm our senior Richmond Men's and Women's sections will be competing in an internal Ready 4 Rugby Tournament (read more about the rules here) on Pitch 1 and the surrounding pitches. The tournament will feature all the current senior squads, including our new players and is set to be an entertaining afternoon of fast-paced non-contact rugby with the very best skills on offer. We will be following all of the latest RFU/Government guidelines to ensure a safe afternoon for everyone.

Following the tournament, we are inviting everyone to enjoy the afternoon at the venue, with Live Premiership Rugby on the TV screens in the bar, with the usual drinks on offer and food available in the canteen The Bar will be open from 11am. Richmond Mini & Youth Season: This Sunday 6th September

Our Richmond Mini & Youth season kicks-off this Sunday 6th September at the Athletic Ground. 

Timings: Mini Girls, U6, U7, U8, U9 & U10 : 9am - 10.15am

U11, U12 & U1310.30am - 11.45am

U4 & U5 Rugby Classes: This Sunday 6th September

Our Richmond U4 & U5 / Pre-School Classes will also commence this Sunday at the Athletic Ground from 10am – 11am.

Pop-Up Shop: This Sunday 6th September

A reminder the Club Shop at the Athletic Ground has officially closed. However, we will have a Pop-Up Shop just for the day this Sunday, hosted by Club Partner Tacklebag Teamwear. 

This is a great opportunity for the Mini & Youth sections to purchase the latest Richmond kit, merchandise and equipment.

Natwest RugbyForce Volunteer Day: New Date - Saturday 19th September

Our Natwest RugbyForce Volunteer Day will now take place on Saturday 19th September from 8am-4pm at the Athletic Ground (not this weekend as previously advertised). 

NatWest RugbyForce is designed to support clubs and their communities in helping to prepare facilities ahead of the new season, by pledging funds that can be used for various projects and maintenance work.  

On Saturday 19th September we will be using the £500 grant to help us refurbish the picnic benches at the Athletic Ground and to help cut the hedges around the venue.

Two hour time slots available (you can do all day if you wish): 8am-10am / 10am-12pm / 12pm-2pm / 2pm-4pm.

 

Club Vacancy: Men's Forwards Coach

Our Richmond men’s section is seeking to recruit a talented and experienced forwards coach. The role will be principally to work with the Richmond Vikings (2nd XV) but they will also work with squads above and below this level.

Rupert Allhusen - Swimming The Channel Challenge

Get behind former First XV player Rupert Allhusen who is about to take on the biggest challenge of his life, Swimming the English Channel.

Currently on hold due to the weather conditions, Rupert is set to become the first ever prop to complete the remarkable feat!

He is raising much needed funds for the RHF Defibrillator Fund and CMV Action.

RAA Update: Welcome Kew Park Rangers FC

The Richmond Athletic Association are delighted to welcome Kew Park Rangers Football Club to the Athletic Ground.

The KPR Boys U13s & Girls U14s/U15s will now train at the venue on Saturday mornings (Pitch 4).
