Pre-season training for both the men and the women is well underway with the men’s pre- season training camp taking place once again at Brighton University next weekend 14th to 16th August. After that details of our new signings will be released and the Sponsor a Player list for 2015/16 will be announced
On 22nd August the First XV are off to play Old Albanian in the first of their pre-season friendlies, returning home the following weekend 29th August to take on old friends Bishop’s Stortford.
On the 29th August the Vikings, Saxons and possibly Normans also have pre-season friendlies, all at home, as well as the Women 1st and 2nd XV, so it promises to be a very social afternoon and all are invited to come along to view the old and new talent on show as well as catch up with friends after the summer break.
The bars will of course be open and a BBQ will be on going to provide more substantial fare. Further details as to timings etc to follow

Donate those old boots to a good cause
As thoughts turn to kitting out the kids for the new school year and the realisation dawns that feet seem to grow like weeds during the summer, please may I put in a request for any old boots that have been outgrown
RFC is delighted to be affiliated with Southwark Tigers Rugby Club for the new season – a club which is run by an inspirational team of volunteers and provides rugby for kids growing up in some of the most deprived areas of the capital. They need boots for the kids who are unable to afford to buy their own, so all donations would be most gratefully received.
If you are unable to get them to me beforehand then just bring them along when the new season starts
