Richmond Rugby Press Release; Pre –Season and New Arrivals
After 6 weeks of pre-season training Richmond FC Director of Rugby, Steve Hill has announced a 38 man squad to attend a 3 day training camp based at Brighton University this coming weekend. The squad will be led by 1st XV Captain Will Warden.
Hill commented, ‘The players have put in a huge amount of work already and competition for places at Brighton has been fierce. We will be getting through a large amount of work over the 3 days and this process ensures all returning and new players have a clear understanding of how we are to play. The new faces in the squad have certainly added to our depth of talent and I look forward to seeing how they respond to the challenges of the weekend and our pre-season fixtures’

RFC Pre-season games – Sat 22nd August/Sat 29th August
Next Saturday 22nd August the First XV are off to play Old Albanian in the first of their pre-season friendlies, returning home the following weekend 29th August to take on old friends Bishop’s Stortford.
On the 29th August the Vikings, Saxons and possibly Normans also have pre-season friendlies, all at home, as well as the Women 1st XV so it promises to be a very social afternoon and all are invited to come along to view the old and new talent on show as well as catch up with friends after the summer break.
The bars will of course be open and a BBQ will be on going to provide more substantial fare. Further details as to timings etc to follow

Membership Subscriptions and Season Tickets 2015/16
Membership/RAA Privilege cards for 2015/16 are in hand and will be sent out towards the end of the month together with the Members Fixture booklet and Goalposts. That is of course if you have paid your membership – if not, now is the time! And if you wish to order a Season Ticket and take advantage of the discount on match entrance that affords then that can also be done on line although a separate Direct Debit will need to be set up

RWC Warm Up games & A316 Road Closure
England v France Sat 15th August
This Saturday 15th August England take on France at Twickenham in the first of their Rugby World Cup warm up games KO 8pm. The Members Bar will be open from about 3pm to watch the game on the big screen and all are very welcome. The canteen will also be up and running
Please note that the A316 will be closed between London Road and Hospital Bridge Roundabout and surrounding roads from approx. 5pm until 11.45pm, which will no doubt cause chaos so probably best to stick to public transport if you are intending to travel anywhere in the area on Saturday
England v Ireland Sat 5th September
On Saturday 5th September England play Ireland also at Twickenham KO at the earlier time of 2.30pm. Road closures as above will be in place for this game from 11.30am to 5.15pm
The RAA are holding one of their delicious pre-International lunches on the day cost £48.50/head to include:

BT Sports 'Rugby Tonight' live show Thurs 3 Sept – complimentary tickets
We have access to complimentary tickets to the above show which will take place at Twickenham Stoop on Thursday 3rd September and will feature the usual presenters (Matt Dawson, Ben Kay etc) along with the players and celebrities taking part in Rugby Aid the following day (including Mike Tindall, Shane Williams, Harry Judd and Louie Spence).
The filming will be from 7- 9pm, and if you would like a ticket then please let me know soonest.
