Richmond Prepare For Scottish On Opening Day
With the Championship and Championship Cup fixtures finalised for the season ahead, Richmond are delighted to confirm dates and times for all the 2018-19 matches. Clashes with local rivals London Scottish bookend the season, and are sure to be just as thrilling as last season’s clashes, both of which were decided by dramatic late scores. Saturday September 1st sees Richmond host their neighbours, and the atmosphere at the RAG is sure to be memorable.

Before the league campaign gets underway, however, Richmond have two huge pre-season matches to whet the appetite. The oldest rugby match in history sees Blackheath visit the RAG on Friday August 10th (7.30pm) in what is sure to be an evening to remember once again. The two sides have been doing battle since 1864, with the first ever game ending in a 1-1 draw, much like the 31-31 clash in 2014. With a big season ahead, and the summer sun expected to stick around, it should be a wonderful Friday evening.
One week before the new season, meanwhile, Richmond head to North London to face Saracens on Friday August 24th (7.30pm), where the current Premiership champions are sure to give a stern test ahead of the serious business against London Scottish one week later.
