Richmond v Doncaster Knights Saturday 15th September KO 3pm
Women 1st XV v Firwood Waterloo KO 5pm
This Saturday 15th September sees the first home double header of the season when the MEN’S FIRST XV play Doncaster Knights KO 3pm followed by the WOMEN’S FIRST XV v Firwood Waterloo KO 5pm – a veritable rugbyfest of an afternoon so please do come down to support both our men and women
There will be the usual lunch beforehand and if you wish to book in then please do so by return. The cost is £30/head which includes a match programme but not match entrance.

Saturday games
On Saturday the VIKINGS are resting, the SAXONS are at home to Cinderford II KO 2pm whilst the NORMANS are taking part in the KCS Wimbledon 10s tournament from 12pm.

Respect
We would remind all that our neighbours and local residents should of course be treated with respect and consideration by all our players, members and supporters when arriving and leaving the ground. A rather unsavoury incident was reported after our last home match where such respect was distinctly lacking and we obviously do not want to see that repeated

Sunday 16th September
On Sunday the MINIS and YOUTH are at home training normal times - although due to the pitch constraints/amendments previously advised under separate email communication, please check with your age group to clarify exactly where you are training
It will be particularly congested this Sunday as the pitches at Old Deer Park are not available to us due to a Runfest being held so we would ask for your patience and tolerance in this difficult situation and thank you all for your understanding

Membership cards 2018/19
This week we have sent out about one half of the now correctly addressed membership cards and are hoping to send out the remainder within the next couple of weeks. In the interests of efficiency we are sending the cards on their own so if you have not received a copy of the latest edition of Goalposts or a 2018/19 Fixture Booklet then please advise and we will post these to you. You may also collect them from the shop if you are physically at the ground
If you are coming to Saturday’s game and have not received your card then please keep your 2017/18 card which will gain you entry to Saturday’s match – and in the event of any issues please pop into the shop and see me

Cornish Pirates v Richmond Sunday 23rd September KO 2.30pm
Next weekend the FIRST XV make the long trip down to Penzance to play the Cornish Pirates on Sunday 23rd September KO 2.30pm
The team are travelling down by coach on Saturday and returning after the match

Match Day doctor (and hapless father of First XV player Harison Edwards !), Johnty Edwards is undertaking the Dart 10k Open Swimming challenge for Level Water this weekend  - a charity that provides swimming lessons for disabled kids - to learn more and to donate click here

Jacquie Warner
It is with great sadness that I report the death last month of long-time supporter Jacquie Warner suddenly after a long battle with cancer
Jacquie started supporting Richmond with her partner, Graham Talling, 20 years ago just before the end of the professional era and they have been a familiar sight on the touchline ever since, particularly at the women’s matches where the large Richmond flag they always held was a rallying point for that intrepid group of supporters
Jacquie was always interested to meet the players in the bar after a match or at the Sponsor a Player suppers and thoroughly enjoyed the convivial atmosphere of the pre match lunches which she and Graham attended regularly
She will always be remembered with much affection by her many Richmond friends and our deepest sympathy goes to Graham
