Next Wednesday, a Richmond Club XV will host Bristol University 1st XV in memory of former Richmond player and coach, David Rollitt, kicking off at 7:30 PM on Pitch 1 at The RAG.
David Rollitt was a highly respected rugby player and coach, earning 11 caps for England between 1967 and 1975 while excelling across the back row. A Bristol University graduate, he played 415 games for Bristol Rugby, captaining them in 1969-70. After moving to London, he joined Richmond Rugby as both a player and coach, leaving a lasting impact on the club. This memorial match between Richmond Club XV and Bristol University 1st XV is a fitting tribute to his legacy at both institutions.
This is the second year of the David Rollitt Memorial Game, with Richmond Club XV securing a dominant 56-14 victory in the inaugural fixture. Now, the team looks to retain the Dave Rollitt Cup in what promises to be another exciting encounter.
With free entry and top-quality midweek rugby on offer, don’t miss the chance to see future stars in action. Bars open from 6 PM, with kickoff at 7:30 PM. Come down and show your support!
