The match will be the first hit-out for both sides ahead of the Championship season kicking-off on 18th September (click here for fixture list). The two clubs reignited their playing history during the 2020/21 season with Ampthill clinching a thrilling 31-22 win at Dillingham Park in May.

Director of Rugby Steve Hill commented: “We are excited to welcome Ampthill back to Richmond for what will be a tough preseason encounter. Both clubs will be looking to experiment with different combinations and showcase a number of new players. We look forward to seeing supporters back at the club for a great day of rugby.”
