Steve Hill has named his squad for the upcoming season.

Richmond Rugby has confirmed its squad for the upcoming Greene King IPA Championship season due to kick-off on 6th March.

The squad features more than 800 first-team caps and includes a strong mix of players who have previously played for Richmond in the Championship and National League 1, as well as a number of exciting new additions. Centre Cameron Mitchell has been confirmed to captain Richmond for the third season running and add to his 116 First XV caps.

New recruits include props Jonny Harris (London Scottish), Jake Byrne (Coventry) and Ben Christie (London Scottish), locks Sam Collingridge (London Irish) and Fred Hosking (Old Elthamians), back-rows George Oram (Coventry) and Hamish Barton (Old Elthamians), scrum-halves Luc Jones (Jersey) and Callum Watson (Chinnor), fly-half Ted Landray (Old Elthamians), centre Chris Elder (Chinnor), wings Max Trimble (Coventry) and Alex Goble (Old Elthamians) and fullback Will Kaye (Loughborough Students).

The club is also delighted to welcome back flanker Jack Allcock, centre Oliver Evans and wing Jake Caddy following long-term injuries.

Director of Rugby Steve Hill, said: “After more than 34 weeks of unpaid preseason training it’s fantastic to announce our playing squad for what should be a very competitive season. The players have trained exceptionally hard during difficult circumstances and deserve the opportunity to represent our club and the entire Richmond community.”

Steve will lead a coaching group consisting of Rob Powell (Defence), Mark Matzopoulos (Attack), Ian Kench (Forwards) and Nic Rouse (Forwards).

Richmond will kick-off its season with an away fixture against Hartpury University on 6th March, before three home fixtures against Cornish Pirates (13th March), Jersey Reds (20th March) and Saracens (27th March). Click here for the full fixture list. Exact dates and times to be confirmed.
