Sunday Morning Group Fitness Classes

This Sunday The Performance Works (located next to pitch 7) will be running classes from 8:30 - 9:15 and 9:30 - 10:15.

Ed's group training sessions are 45 minutes long and cost £10 per class. First class is FREE
They are a combination of weights and cardio, working various movement patterns. Expect hard work and a lot of sweat. All welcome and exercises will be regressed and progressed depending on abilities.

Ed Stembridge - ex Richmond rugby player, qualified personal trainer with a degree in strength and conditioning science. Ed has been working for several years in the fitness industry and is running circuit classes and 1-1 personal training sessions at Richmond rugby club gym.

Richmond 26 Ealing Trailfinders 35

Richmond and Ealing Trailfinders fought out a tightly contested pre-season game under the floodlights, Trailfinders edging a topsy turvy game with two late tries. Last season’s Championship winners Ealing arrived with a strong side, following games against Rosslyn Park and Biarritz. Richmond, by contrast, had started with a ‘four quarters’ practice match against traditional rivals Blackheath, so needed to pick up the pace quickly against stronger opposition.

Following a number of departures and retirements, Richmond fielded a new look line-up. The backs were all new recruits apart from full back Will Kaye. The pack, by contrast, was more familiar, the one new player being loose head Conor Maguire...

  • HEAVIES FOUNDATION CARDIAC SCREENING

    The Richmond Heavies Foundation is kicking off the 2022/23 seasons Cardiac Screening programme on Saturday 3rd September at the club, where 50 of the championship squad and coaching/support staff will be screened.

    Further cardiac screening sessions will be scheduled for adults players, as well as the youth section who are 14 and over at the club before the end of the year, so please look out for these dates when they are announced and get your booked in for a free heart screening.

    Match tickets are now on sale for Richmond's first home Championship clash with Caldy on Saturday 17th September (KO 3pm).Click here to book tickets online to avoid the game-day queues.

    • Match entrance for members online or at the gate - £12
    • Match entrance for non-members online - £20
    • Match entrance for non-members at the gate - £22
    • Match entrance for U16 - Free

    Match day information:
    Once you arrive at the club please have your ticket ready to be shown at the main checkpoint (please see map below). You are then free to walk through and enjoy the afternoon.
    For those purchasing match tickets on the day, please note we are accepting card payments only. Once you have purchased your ticket from the main checkpoint you will be given a wrist band. Please keep this on and then show to the stewards as you enter the main gate to Pitch 1 for the 3pm kick-off.

    Grandstand: The grandstand is open and operates on a first come first served basis.

    Hospitality Lunch: Our Sports Bar has also been refurbished and will serve the pre-match hospitality lunch for those wanting to enjoy a 3 course meal before the game. Please contact the office on 020 8332 7112 if you want to book in for lunch.

    Bars Open: The bars and canteen open from 12pm. Our Members Bar has been refurbished over the summer (and re-named the Murray Judd Bar) and will act as the main bar to enjoy a drink before the game.

    Car Parking: Parking is free at the Athletic Ground on match-days and operates on a first come first served basis.

    Team Sheets: We have FREE team sheets available for members and supporters to collect at the main entrance to the ground and in the Sports Bar. This includes the match day squads and referee names.

    Cashless Venue: A reminder we are a fully cashless venue. We accept card payments only.

    Heavies Foundation Fundraiser Lunch

    Tickets are now available for The Richmond Heavies Foundation Lunch on September 30th.

    This west end extravaganza is a proven fun day out and provides the necessary fundraising to allow The Foundation to support our players and members.

    We hope you can make it either by taking a table, coming as part of a smaller group or booking individually.

    Dane Baptiste headlines a night of fun and Laughter His extensive TV credits include Live at the Apollo (BBC Two), Mock the Week (BBC Two), 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown , Hypothetical (Dave), Tonight at the London Palladium. He has also hosted Live At The Apollo (BBC Two), Live from the Comedy Store (Comedy Central) and created, wrote and starred in his own sitcom Sunny D (BBC Three/One), which was the first black sitcom commissioned by the BBC in 20 years and is now being reformatted for US markets.
    Joining him on stage is Live At the Apollo Tom Ward and Live at The Apollo Laura Lexx plus local radio DJ Neil Long
