Steve Hill has named his 23 for the final match of the season.

Scrum-half Luc Jones will earn his 50th first-team cap as Richmond welcome Coventry to the Athletic Ground for the final round of the 2020/21 Greene King IPA Championship season (KO 14:00 – Click here to purchase match tickets).

The 27-year-old, who rejoined the club at the beginning of the season following a year at Jersey, said: “Playing 50 games for any club is tough, but I’m even more pleased to have done it at Richmond. I would have achieved it faster had it not been for my short sabbatical away, but I’m incredibly proud to have made it.”

Saturday’s fixture also marks the return of supporters to the Athletic Ground for the first time in 455 days. The club has completed a vigorous health and safety review, implementing a wide range of COVID-19 protocols to ensure the fixture can go ahead with a reduced and socially distanced crowd.

The Richmond starting XV features just three changes to the side that narrowly went down to Ampthill on Sunday. Hooker Jack Musk replaces Mike Perks who moves to the bench, the experienced Jimmy Litchfield returns at tighthead for his 32nd cap and playmaker Ted Landray makes his first start at inside centre.

On the bench there’s returns for club stalwart Timmy Walford (151 caps) and powerful number 8 Myles Scott (45 caps), while flanker Hamish Barton will look to make his first appearance since the defeat to Ealing four weeks ago.
