If nothing else, this season has been an adventure full of growth, resilience and enjoyment. The rugby this squad has produced has been spectacular to watch. Both the Valkyries and the 1st XV have displayed a brand of high tempo attack and steely defence.
The results we have secured on our path have allowed us to learn what brings out our best and where we need to strengthen our performances. And it's these performances that have been sculpted and refined by the players and coaches efforts. The inward searching, to be the best they can be.
From my own point of view it has been a pleasure to see every player and coach on their own personal journey at Richmond Women’s Rugby. I have never seen such a talented group of individuals come together to form such a tight knit, high performing unit.
Led by the Iron Willed Becci de Garsten-Webb, with assistance from the Warrior Gabby Spencer, and the Midfield General Emma Mundy, this mighty gathering of players knows no limits.
From victory at The Rec, to our losses against the Irish. From our battle at Thurrock, to our last gasp victory against OAs; it is there, in these moments that you find the character and pride that make these players some of the best ever, to pull on the sacred red, black and gold of Richmond.
To Cheltenham, we go again, for the prize of a Twickenham finale showdown, where destiny awaits.
