The Club has joined forces with its Associate Partner, Lunzer Wine, with a commitment to host various events at the Richmond Athletic Ground including collaborative wine tasting evenings, the first of which will be “The Marriage of Food & Wine” + Rugby held on Friday 10th November.

The event is looking to bring members, sponsors and people from the wider community together to chat about wine and rugby whilst enjoying a delicious 4 course dinner accompanied by a variety of fine wines. Guests will be entertained at this event by local wine expert and raconteur, and club member, Peter Lunzer.

The event will begin with a ‘Nyetimber Classic Cuvee, English Sparkling Wine’ reception from 7pm with live music by local jazz vocalist, Isobel Pearce. Peter will then guide us through ”The Marriage of Food & Wine” with each course being paired with wines selected by Peter for the entertainment of seeing how they behave with different food.

We are also delighted to be joined for the evening by one of rugby’s greatest ever players, Australian legend and 1991 Rugby World Cup winner, Michael Lynagh, who, during the dinner, will share his views on the recent tournament and the winning team following the conclusion of the Rugby World Cup 2023.

Tickets are priced at £75pp or £700 for a table of 10.

Lunzer Wine is sponsoring the newly revamped Club Wine List, selected from Fuller’s wine list, for this season.
