This Saturday, Richmond returns home to the Richmond Athletic Ground for a highly anticipated National 1 Round 11 clash against Sedgley Park, kicking off at 3 PM. Tickets are still available – secure yours HERE!

With nine wins and one draw, our attack has been nothing short of relentless. Leading the charge is Chidera Obonna, whose explosive pace and clinical finishing have seen him cross the line five times this season. The home crowd will be eager to see him in action again as he looks to add to his tally on Saturday.

But Richmond’s success this season isn’t just built on attacking flair—our defensive resilience has been equally impressive. At home, we’ve conceded just 60 points across four matches, the best home defensive record in the league by a considerable margin, with over 20 points fewer than the next best. This balance of attacking firepower and defensive solidity will make for a thrilling spectacle this weekend.

Sedgley Park sit in 12th position in the league and only won 2 games but are a side not to take for granted as they had two big wins against Esher and Plymouth Albion. When these sides last faced in the final game of last season, Richmond put in a fantastic performance winning 50-18 as they look to replicate this scoreline.

For those unable to make the game, coverage will be provided on X (formerly known as Twitter) RichmondFC1861. There have been 5 rotations and 1 change to the side that beat Plymouth Albion away from home in the previous round. In the front row, there has been three rotations as Theo Bevacqua, Callum Torpey and Luke Spring pack down this week. In the back row, Toby Saysell starts at openside flanker and in the backline, Luc Jones starts at scrum-half and captains the side. On the bench, Alex O’Meara returns to the match-day squad covering the back three.
